  1. Wow,Judy!!! I am even MORE than a happy camper hearing this news. I am lliterally 'over the moon' with happiness and joy! We are just SO SO SO happy to hear this news. Now I hope you can relax a bit and savor the report. I know you are on the bus so........come on up to the roof for a celebratory toast in your honor!!!!!!

I DO believe that translates to NED!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!

    Way to go friend!

  2. We're all set up on the roof for you, Muriel!!! Congrats! That's a big step - graduating to 6 months. Guess I'll have to bring out the 'unbreakable' glassware since we're on the move on top of the bus, huh? I like that - bigger glasses!!!!!

  3. He's home and we are just scratching our heads over it all this time around. This is the 3rd 'episode' since the end of August. Each one is just a tad different than each of the others. We were sent on our way with this - he SEEMS to be OK now, BUT again told to see a pulmonologist for the nodules. I told this new doc that we just saw one on Christmas Evee and that all seemed stable. Oh not so according to her. she says progression since the scan done in December. Well, CRAP! So off we will go again to see him. But for now - all is good. I'm just feeling a bit punky with some stomach thingy. Crap again!

Thanks for all your well-wishes and all. It's always great to know you guys are here to count on in stressful times.

  4. I'm up fpr a party! Let the good times roll ~ right along with the bus! Big congrats, Becky. Only thing is.........I'm not sure how much you doc DOES know ~ he called you NORMAL :? !!! What's up with THAT!!!!!

Here's to so many more NED years that you lose count of 'em!

    xxoo.

  5. Well, you certainly have had an interesting ride for the past few months, haven't you? I saw on FB that Col was heading to FL, just didn't realize all she had to endure beforehand. Hopefully she's feeling better enough to enjoy the getaway with Jack.

Once LC (or any cancer, I guess, for that matter) enters our lives, there seems to never be any dull moments, huh? Le'ts hope all of Col's issues are resolved and that you all can get on with dealing with life in general. Glad you checked in. I know you've been missed here and even on FB where there all has been pretty quiet from your little corner of the world. You know where we are too. I bet you have an unbelievable support system set up around you, but sometimes having someone who truly knows the ropes can be helpful too. Don't hesitate to call on us - less than an hour away, ya know!

Give Col and Jack our best ~ and our best to you too!

    xxoo,

Kasey (yes, Fred too  )

  6. Judy, I do ALL the things you mentioned, so I've gotcha covered. I understand only too well your state of mind right now. My own scans are due in April. This time, if all goes well, will have me promoted to once a year. However, that 'feeling' just never leaves.

Wishing you all the best and hope knowing that we got your back here in PA will help ease your mind.

  7. Wonderful news, Marie!!!! Hope you are enjoying it. So.........what's been going on with ya? Miss seeing you around ~ so glad you stopped in to share! Always great to hear our friends are doing well.

  8. OK ~ time for an overdue update on my dear Fred. I've been less than very active for the past many months due to the fact that Fred has been hospitalized twice and a third time ~ though not in the hospital ~ underwent many tests/scans.

Without any long explanation, here it is in a nutshell. Heart issues - afib and blocked artery. Probable that he had 2 mini strokes AND those pesty nodules that his family doc said there was no reason to follow any longer have incresed in size ~ since just his November hospitalization.

So.......though most of the issues are not LC related, the nodules are AND I know you guys care about all the rest too. I've just returned from the hospital - spent most of the day in the ER and now he's inpatient as a heart patient. Heading back as soon as I finish here. I spent the week after Thanksgiving there as well. If any of you have the desire to send your good vibes or 'whatevers' I thank you profusely. Must admit that this third time in less than 6 months has me a bit rattled.

This is all little potatoes compared to what many face, I know, but wanted to just put it out there ~ especially if my absence has at all been noted.

    Thanks for listening and caring.

  9. Certainly sounds as if there were some unsettling times. I'm relieved and so happy to hear the outcome of it all. Wish I could ride a bike - I'd join you in Philly. I have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time - so no chance of that ever happening. Good luck.

  10. And a great big WOOHOO from PA. So very glad to hear the news. What a great guy to call you on Friday BEFORE the weekend! That earns him a gold star in my book. I'm reading this pretty late, BUT I think it is still early enough to offer up a quick toast in your honor. I'm reaching for the wine as I type!!!! Fred and I are just ecstatic to hear.

    Your 'old broad' buddy,

    Kasey

  11. You were meant to find that book. You were meant to share it with Sophie. You were meant to have it happen at this time - in this way. Your mother was telling you that 'forever her baby you'll be.'

What a message - both in the story AND the timing of this whole thing. How great is that!!!! Hope you got a warm, fuzzy feeling and that it carries you through the sadness.

  12. Just kick that da#$ elephant right in the butt and outta the room entirely. I hear ya with the anxiety. Sorry the heart issue isn't quite resolved yet also. We're just about back on track here after our little detour between Thanksgiving and New Year's, so will get in touch and get the scoop.

You know my thoughts are always with you - hoping for the best. It never really goes away, does it, even after many years. I hope to see that elephant flying overhead on his way far, far away. In the meantime, how about a Baileys or something? Medicine, you know, to ease anxiety?

    Good luck friend.

  13. Hope this day is a wonderful one ~ full of love, laughter, and family. My wish for you is that you feel fulfilled in what you are doing and that your family appreciates you for the outstanding young woman you are. My wish for ME is that I could be there to join in the celebration and give you an in-person hug. Maybe someday...........

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Val.

    Love,

    Kasey

  14. What wonderful, wonderful news this morning, Barbara. Just knew you and Bill would pulll this off. And what a relief for you to not have that running back and forth in cold and rain and snow and ice. You are the BEST to have in one's corner. No grass grows under YOUR feet and you are sharp too ~ keep everything running just the way it ought.

I'll be checking in on you and we can chat. In the meantime, make sure you get rested up and help lined up. This is a huge undertaking. I know you already know it. Just want to be sure you don't attempt heroic measures all on your own. 2 hours and 51 minutes!!!!!

    Love,

    Kasey

  15. Big time congrats, Colleen. Don't you EVER not post such wonderful news here. We want to hear all there is. I just passed 5 years myself. It's just a wonderful feeling to reach such milestones, isn't it? Here's to too many more to be able to count.

  16. OK ~ time to join the party. Fred assured me he would be alright while I take a little hiatus. I'm on board with lots of merlot, cards for some bridge games, and my cell. I contemplated bringing some paint to get the bus back to its original color, but what the heck!!! Doesn't really matter, does it?

Not sure where the best place is to pick me up. I could be in the DC area. Seems a bit out of the way though. But Becky and her bus can do just about anything!

  17. Wow, Ann, you don't give a girl much time to get things done. When I saw on FB I had some girls here and had to wait. Now I see it's done already. Too bad ~ I had a great welcome and greeting all ready and was going to offer drinks on the house. Guess it's all about - you snooze - you lose. Sorry.

  18. Great news, Denise!!!! It just brought a big ole smile to my fice. I think we should just link arms and skip down that yellow brick together. Come on everyone ~ join us to visit that Wonderful Wizard of Oz!
