  1. I am currently a patient at CTCA and I thank God I found them. Actually, my daughter found them for me. I have the most wonderful oncologist. He is truly a saint. They bend over backwards to make you feel good. They are always 5 steps ahead of you. We are all in the same boat there and everyone has a smile even though you feel crumby. Ihave an appointment on April 6th and hope for good news. I'm currently on Tarceva, almost 6 weeks now. I pray that news will be good.
  2. Thanks to everyone for all of the good wishes. I go to see the Oncologist this Friday (the 11th). I don't expect anything to be different after only 3 weeks (last saw the doc) and 1 week (started Tarceva). But you never know. I just keep on keepin on.
  3. I just started taking Tarceva yesterday after taking IRESSA for a month and a half. I had EXTREMELY dry skin and a slight rash from the IRESSA. I still have it so I really won't be able to tell if there are any side effects like dry skin or rash from the Tarceva or not. I hope I don't have a loss in appetite. It's been good so far and getting better. So I sure don't want to lose it. I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted.
  4. I am a patient at CTCA in Zion, IL. All I can say is I thank God that I am able to go there. Actually my daughter is the one that was instrumental in getting me there. What a Wonderful place. I am currently on Tarceva (previously on IRESSA). I really have no comment on the PET scan. I wish you good luck. Just remember that God is watching over you.
  5. Well I saw the doctor and the news wasn't what I hoped it would be. After looking at the scan of my chest they found 2 new nodules. Doc said he would like to take me off of IRESSA and put me on Tarceva. I had just had the IRESSA prescription refilled so he said we'd wait. Well, I took my first Tarceva yesterday. I pray that it works. My dry skin has gotten worse. I itch like crazy. But if that's the only side effect I have (besides a little skin rash) then I'll take it. Thanks for all of the good wishes.
  6. Just wanted to thank all of you for your information. I tried the Aquaphor first and it worked wonders. I really appreciate all the kindness you have shown. This site is truly amazing. I have an appointment with my oncologist tomorrow and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will have good news. Thanks again.
  7. Hi Everyone, This is my first time posting here. I'm taking IRESSA (since 12/17/04). So far, so good. I'm just wondering if anyone on IRESSA is experiencing extremely dry skin especially on their face. I've done everything I can think of to solve the problem to no avail. I will be coming back here often. From the other posts I've read, everyone is very supportive. Good Luck to all!!
