Deb and I came from the onc today and I know it is monday. We wre told that her tumor has grown about 20% to about 2.5 Inches She has been on tarceva since december and apparently it doesn't work any more or any less. The onc has put her on Etoposide the pill. We know of the side effects but not the odds. (Think Kentucky derby winner here 50-1) He says 1 in 5 survival rate. been crying all day. HAd to wear shades to work cause eyes are bloodshot. Does anyone have any experiences with this drug? We would apperciate the advice. Always praying and reading but not always posting. Try Visine with antihistamine That is what my wife is using and it is helping after only a couple of days

You may want to check on fluid build up aroung the heart. My wife was having chest pains and went to the Emargency room. she was admitted and had surgery the 3 of April and had almost 850 Ml of fluid removed from around the heart, They found cancer cells but no sign of tumors. The Build up of fluid waaas a result of the chemotherapy back in 2004. Found o lot of indication of scarring tissue. I hope this helps someone because it sure scared us. It was the beginning of a heart attack basically. Good luck and always praying for eveyone

Does any one have any information on whether or not Ellagic acid works? Have seen some testimonials that it does but am not sure. Wife is stage 2 on tarceva for a month and there is no spreading right now of cancer. Am wondering if Ellagic acid is snake oil or not. Thanks

My Wife is on tarceva now and was on Iressa. Iressa was not as harsh but studies showed that it did not work as well as tarceva and we stopped taking it. Deb takes 150MG a day, has rash but very little nausea, (Immodum AD and Promethazine for that) We will go for a Cat scan next monday to see how the tarceva is working.
