  2. I LOVE THIS POST--IT HAS HELPED ME LEARN SO MUCH ABOUT CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR LIFE TRIALS. I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION-SOMETHING I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT---THERE SEEMS TO BE ALOT OF BRAIN INVOLVEMENT FROM THE LUNG CANCER EITHER INITIALLY OR EVENTUALLY. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE % RATE OF THAT. JUST WONDERING AND OF COURSE WORRYING --THANKS,PEACE AND LOVE,NANCY C. P.S. THE REASON I AM CONCERNED IS MY HUSBAND HAS DEDICED TO GO OFF HIS CHEMO OF 4 WEEKS SO HE WILL FEEL GOOD FOR OUR DAUGHTER'S WEDDING MAY 14.I UNDERSTAND THAT AND ALSO WANT HIM TO "FEEL GOOD" BUT I WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT THE AGGRESSIVENESS OF THE CANCER.
  3. karen-i know how you feel-it is lonely-my husband also is ill and is in bed most of the day-i work 8 hours and spend maybe 2 hours with him and back to bed he goes. they can't help it--i feel bad for them--never feeling good-sometimes cancer takes more out of the caregiver than the patient.i have been doing this 18 months and sad to say-some days i don't want to come home from work--because the cancer is there all the time. it never gives us or husbands a break. we just have to pray and be there for them. god bless and take care, nancy c
  4. thank you for your response; it is a struggle with my husband; he will not go anywhere else for any other opinions; you see-he had his neck tumor for almost a year before he told me or went to a dr. he is so afraid of medical people and needles! i was so mad at him when he was dx-because he didn't seek medical help right away-and by the time he did--it had spread thru his body. sometimes i think the less he is told the better he feels. he is comtfortable with his onc-but i wish to seek other opinions and advice. until i have his co-operation i guess i'm stuck. thank you and god bless you. love and peace, nancy c
  5. thanks so much all of you for the input--this makes me feel better--this site is a gift from heaven-i wish all of good blessings. take care and god bless, nancy
  6. oh thank you -that makes me feel better; i was very worried; he isn't struggling for breathe-he is just sitting there and i can hear these rattles; he says he hears them too but no pain , etc.l ove and peace, nancy c
  7. hello---my husband c/o's of alot of bone pain with his chemo-he has the usual nausea and vomiting and then it does get better--but i am concerned--he has alot of lymphedema in his left arm--which his neck and lung tumor is on the left side--and his cat scan did say he had clots in the superior vena cava vessel and he is on coumadin; his arm swells then goes down-and swells a few days later--is this not a very dangerous problem?? his onc saw him this week and told him to just keep trying to keep his arm above his head as much as possible when lying down. i feel maybe we are just being pacified. his dr has always told us he is prolonging his life-and cancer is hard to treat. but i feel he is not being honest with us--and informing us on what is ahead of us. i know he doesn't want us to lose hope-but how fair is it to leave us hanging?? just venting--thanks! love and peace, nancy c
  8. i am new to this post--but by reading your news--it breaks my heart-you have a large fan club and are an angel--god will take care of you and all of us. love and peace, nancy c
