[Mom recently diagnosed w/ Stage 4 SCLC - SCARED]

I would like to tell you how sorry I am to hear of the diagnosis. I also would like to say its always always NORMAL to be scared. I know its extremely difficult to remain positive, but try very hard to...it makes each day a little easier. Remember you will be strong enough to help and your mother will be happy you can be with her. Don't forget to take care of you so you can care for her. Also, always take each day as it comes.

It's so good to see you post-Welcome! Im glad you now know the proper diagnosis, but sorry it has to be cancer. Hoping she gets much needed pain relief. I'll be praying for ya'll and hang tight. Remember so many people with stage iv are still around. Try to stay positive.

I think your doing a fine job. I don't think her getting sick suddenly is your fault.

Anemia and blood transfusions as well as pneumonia are very common in cancer patients.

Yes! Im glad your making that known. People don't determine your time God does! Think of how many people have been given months and lived years. Think of all the people still living today who had doctors predicting they wouldn't make it through the night. This does shatter a person's hopes and spirit and it shouldn't be a guesstimate. I'll be sending lots of prayer your way.
