  1. Ernie: I know you can beat it.
  2. My dad developed rash all over his body and swollen in his feet and hands. After a month, they were gone.
  3. After 8 rounds of chemo therapy, my dad is now on Tacerva. Last week (the 3rd week) he had a CT and blood test. The CT showed the tumor in his lung is stable, however, the blood test of CEA is not good. It is higher than before. Now it is almost 76. The normal level should be less than 5. He is very upset. My dad has whole body rash after taking tacerva and swollen of his fingers and legs. His doctor does not sure Tacerva is working. Want to do another test in another 2 weeks. If still not good, will do PET. Unlike here in the states, Tacerva and PET are covered by insurance, in China patients have to pay them from their own packet. It is very hard. Susan
  4. Thanks. Dr West for your view. I will keep you guys updated if any impressive stories about taking DCA.
  5. Thanks for your replies. The reason I asked because in China a lot of LC patients and family memembers are trying this new treatment or whatever it is. And I did some research and found it is not FDA apporved. I want to warn them about taking this drug, but on the other hand, for most of us, there is not much to lose after all of available treatments run out. We are trying desperately to save lives of our beloved.
  6. Anyone have heard about this new treatment? http://thedcasite.com/
  7. I am so so sorry for your loss. Susan

  9. I am so sorry for your loss. I hate lung cancer!!!!
  10. Thanks for your reply. I hope in the near future, this new technology will be applied to advanced lung cancer.
  11. Anyone has any experience about Proton therapy? I was told that proton therapy is only applied to Lung cancer without Mets. But I was also told by my cousin who has some knowledge of medical equipments that proton therapy might be good to bone tumors. Thanks.
  12. My dad is doing good so far with all the chemo and the endostar. He is still strong and energetic. So based on his condition, his doctor wants to do two more rounds of chemo in the next two months. And then he will receive it every three months. We do not know how Endostar is working on my dad's cancer since he just started the new treatment 2 months ago. But my dad's doctor told me that most of cases Endostar is not working, but if it works, it works very good. I will keep you guys updated.
  13. Thanks for your advice. We will seek more consultation. At the same time my dad is receiving a new drug called ENDOSTATIN every month with chemo.
  14. My dad had six rounds of chemo(taxol) and is doing fine. The tumor is under control. His oncologist told us that my dad needs two more rounds of chemo and then chemo every three months. Anyone has any advice on what the next step would be after six rounds of chemo? Thanks.
  15. Frank, I miss you....... Susan
