Hi Carrie
I am a survivor and did an interview with the local paper last year for Lung Cancer month. It had to do with the stigma of smoking and lung cancer. I also tried to convey the message that some non smoker's have a false sense of security about lung cancer. If I can help, let me know

Dawn enjoy your Thanskgiving with the family. Take care.

If everything wasn't in the same building Denise you would have had to book off 2 week's vacation !!!!

I asked my Oncologist that question on Tuesday. In my case he recommended it because he said that I am NED now. It may be different for different circumstances. I also had an appointment with my GP later in the day and asked her the same question. She also recommended it.

Larry Heron
in GRIEF
Larry Heron passed away this morning after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Larry worked in my department for the last 5 years and will be missed by all his family, friends and co-workers. Another good person lost to this terrible disease.

Hi Marisa
We have been talking for the last while so you know I feel. I just want to again say how very courageous you are and have been all through this painful process. Just know that we are here to support you any way we can. Take care friend.

It is good to see it specified as Lung Cancer.

Great to hear your wife is at home Bud. I'm sure she will be much more content at home and recovery will be quicker.
-
After your great news this week Judy, spending fun time with the family this weekend sounds like a great plan. Enjoy.
-
Another one that missed it as well Bud. Hope your wife's recovery is going good and she does get to go home Sunday. Take care.

I had a chest x-ray in February for something else but the radiologist noticed a spot on my left lung. Between Doctor's leaving, surgeon going on vacation, all the different test, etc. I didn't have my surgery until September. So I can certainly understand that waiting is very frustrating.

Great News Judy !!!!! Now let's break out that wine.
-
Will be thinking about you over the next couple days and waiting to hear those great results on Thursday. Sending prayers from way up north.

I had my last cigarette on the hospital steps before going in for my surgery. I always joke that when they cut into my lung a puff of blue smoke came out. That was over 2 years ago and I didn't take anything to help quit after smoking for 30 years. I guess I finally had the right incentive.

Hi Debbie
I had my upper left lobe removed 2 years ago. Originally they were just going to do a wedge resection but decided in the operating room to remove the lobe. I just have 2 scars that are maybe 4" long each. I had VATS surgery and it is alot less intrusive than the large operation of years ago. I had my surgery on Friday morning and was released from the hospital on Monday morning.

That is great news Jamie!!!! It is so good to see all your dedication and hard work is making a difference.
