Judy
in JUST FOR FUN
Has anyone heard from Judy in the last few days ? Or has she said she would not be on the board and I missed it ?
-
That is great news Nicole ! I'm sure your Mom's sense of humor is as sharp as ever. Two years is a great milestone.
-
Wishing for the best Denise. Prayers coming down from way up north. Take care

Good neighbors and great friends can help alot and lift our spirits when we are feeling down. An old saying is " Neighbor's by chance but friends by choice. "

( If Patti is buying, I'm in )

Before I had a lobectomy 2 years ago, I had never had a heartburn. Now I have to take medication daily for acid reflux. Like you, I have no idea what is causing it.

Hey Denise let's hope Tom is just all wired up and we will celebrate !

Tami let me be the first to welcome you to this great site but sorry you had to be here. You will find members here very supportive with a great deal of knowledge and experience dealing with this terrible disease. There are plenty of good news stories here and it is great you have that positive attitude.

I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary since my lobectomy. Staged 1b and I followed up the surgery with 4 rounds of adjuvant chemo. I wanted to wait until after I got my results today to post here. Didn't want to jinx anything. Annette and Debi I can also relate to all those ache and pain phantom mets. I can certainly remember a toe cancer I was sure I had. My mother and Brother both passed away from cancer. For me, if I get a pain in my big toe, I'm sure one of them had a pain in their big toe before they passed away. Not sure if those thoughts will ever go away.... but I sure hope so. I certainly enjoy every day more now than I had before.

Waiting to hear more good news on Thursday Muriel

Test results
in HOPE
I was debating on posting my results because sometimes you feel guilty about being found early while other's are not as fortunate. But I thought a little good news might be OK this week.
I got my results today for my chest x-ray and abdomen ultrasound. Everything is clear with no sign of recurrence. NED This was my 2nd anniversary test so now I graduate to 6 month testing for the next 3 years.

I had a similar story. Had chest pain which they thought was the heart. One of the test I had was a chest x-ray where they found the spot on my lung. They told me that would not have caused the pain. Had surgery and upper left lobe removed.
Had a number of heart test since including stress, mibby, etc. No problem with the heart and they could not find the cause for the pain.

Patti you know I think the world of you girl and you are nothing short of a hero in my eyes. You deal with everything going on in your own life but still give so unselfishly your support and friendship to so many of us here on this site. Your friends here will celebrate with you on your anniversary as we will next year and the year after that.

Sandra and I joined this site at the same time. We connected maybe because we were new to this journey and Canadians. Over the last 2 years, we became good friends and talked often. We leaned on each other to cheer each other up if one was feeling down.
We always talked about other members that would get together in person and how nice that must be. To meet people in person that were going through the same journey, that you had gotten to know here. We talked about having lunch together and a get together for Canadian members. Sandra would always say that she didn't want the first time we met to be in heaven. I am sure she is there now looking down on all of us.
Miss you Prairie girl.

Judy we are not that familiar with hurricanes in my neck of the woods but they are getting more common. My family in Newfoundland had to deal with hurricane Bill last weekend and are getting hit today by hurricane Danny.
Sounds like you are going to have a busy day with family and their kids.
A bit of a set back...

Great news Will that the surgery went so good. Hopefully the recovery will continue as good and you get that plan in place. I agree with Muriel about not waiting too long for the pain meds.
