  1. I think Alexis starts treatments after her surgery...in 2 weeks... I heard Nacy Grahmn may leave the show..so maybe she won't be cured.. Days, I also watched, but to be honest... GH handles things better and more realistically they even get experts... so I am hopeful they will do it justice. lets watch and see....
  2. hey folks, GH is usually really good at portraying these things. They have done a great job with AIDS/HIV and not trivalizing it either, like some shows....People get it, they get sick, they die, but not too dramatic. It is well done. The guy playing Sonny, (the character who is bi-polar) Maurice Benard, actually is bi-polar and so this is close to his heart, I am hoping they explore this further....so I am sure Alexis having Lung Cancer will be great. Also on the OC, the grandmother has lung cancer, and that show is seen by millions.. Prime Time you know...
  3. Hey guys, sorry that I have been away for so long.. Things in my life have been up in the air...etc!!! BUT I do watch General Hospital.. For years they have covered AIDS and HIV, then they went on to cover bi-polar/manic depression...which also meant a lot to me...now one of their most beloved characters, Alexis Davis, played by Nancy Grahmn has been diagnose with LUNG CANCER stage 2...they haven't defined SCLC or NSCLC but isn't that good? More coverage the better!! I hope you are all welll!!! lots of love! Steph
  4. I hear ya. From March 27th (the day Mom passed) through Mother's Day sucks now. But I had a really nice dream about her last night. HUGS to all going through the same.
  5. COOL! I am probably moving to New York soon for work. I am doing the Marathon the week before... but I will need to stretch my legs the following week...please let us know..... Steph
  6. I would love to see it! Good job Tina!
  7. Sandy, My heart breaks for you. Prayers and hugs during this hard time. Steph
  8. I am thinking that when I can buy at least 10, I can send them out to Lisa, to InStyle (the editor) and or maybe we can send out press releases to see if anyone would want to do a story on it? I worked in PR briefly, so maybe I can write one up???
  9. I think all mags are good, but you know if some "star" picks it up, it will help a lot. InStyle is huge...also what about the Daily Candy? It is a website, I get emails from the LA, Chicago and NY issues and it is wide read? I will also see if Lisa Rinna will plug it on Soap Talk...I am not sure what the rules are, but I will find out... Also maybe I can send one to Oprah.?? It is a great idea, and everyone loves to eat...so.... I am crazed (looking for work again, this industry so frusterating) for like a week, but I will see what I can do....
  10. I got the cookbooks yesterday! They are so great! Andrea you rock! I am going to order a bunch for Christmas gifts! Have you tried to get one of the big mags to put in an article about them? Like InStyle or something? This weekend is the 2 year anniversary since Mom died and I have been so sad, but seeing her recipes in the book and her photo, I am sure she would have loved it. Thanks Andrea for doing it! HUGS Steph
  11. on the line with Buddha, God now for you..sending prayers... and best wishes. Steph
  12. Did anyone see the People this week? Dana Reeve is on the cover with Christopher. It was interesting I was in line at the grocery store and this woman next to me just started talking about lung cancer and how she went and got a lung scan because of Dana! She didn't even smoke this woman! I think it is terrible that so many people are dying, but with the high profile people like, Adam Sandler's Dad, Peter Jennings and now Dana Reeve, it may help people take more notice and action! It is a good acticle anyhow...get one for sure.
  13. HI Peggy, You are so right. It will be two years since we lost mom and it have been in and out and felt really alone especially last year when I returned to the USA. I dropped out of sight, and it was tough. t was hard!! Bless you for your post... Steph in sunny Milwaukee and Chicago today.
  14. So sorry to hear about that. It is sad for the dog too, he just wanted to play.. My Dad always says the thing about pets is that they always die, but I always have a dog, because long or short, the time we have with them is amazing, and even the sadness isn't as strong as the happiness they bring us. HUGS to you and I am really sorry to hear that.
