Karma1976
I have wrote, emailed and conversed with Boston Legislators and plan on really making a buzz about the fact that it is great they have smoking bans in bars now BUT if they want to really to get people on the band wagon (since smokers are bull and i kind of do not blame them it is their right to be able to smoke in a smoking section but i digress) well i write to make the ban worth it weight and take any fines they get and donate the money to lung cancer research! Hey when you get angry do something I say.
bobmc
Yea, Karma, great thought, I been bringing up the point that they've been getting big bucks from the tobacco industry and very little if any goes' to research, At least you have a smoking ban in Boston, here in Jersey, were still at it,been sending the letters but the 000 cartel in Atlantic City seems to be fighting it, It will pass but will take a bit longer. Keep at it!!! God bless and be well Bobmc- NSCLC- stage IIB- left pneumonectomy- 5/2/01 " absolutely insist on enjoying life today!"
Hebbie
Hi Bob -- I live in South Jersey -- who are you sending letters to and how can I get involved?
bobmc
Hi Hebbie; You bet you can get involved, ; I use www.smokefreeair.org to send alot; they make it real easy with there E-Z letter format. The last one I sent was to the legislators of Arizona. There also trying to pass laws. In jersey, I've used the American Cancer web site. I'm an activist with them. They direct you to the right people through their site. The last batch of letters I sent was to the Committee for Health and Welfare. The bill has passed through them and seems to be stalled. I'll have to some digging to find the current status right now. However, you can still send letters every bit helps. cute kid ya got there! God bless and stay well Bobmc - NSCLC- stageIIB left pneumonectomy- 5/2/01 " absolutely insist on enjoying life today!
