kitkathi
Hi All, Unfortunately my pops cancer has returned. His PET results today showed 2 spots on his right lung. He is having a stent replaced next Tuesday and will start chemo next Friday. When he did chemo the first time is was carboplatin and epitoside (sp?). He is only doing chemo this time and it will be cisplatin. Is this typical? Is it still considered limited after a recurrence if it is only located in the lung still? Would they not be doing radiation again because of the pericardial effusions from the radiation last time (although he now has a pericardial window). His docs are very optimistic and are ready for battle. Anyone's thoughts on this? Thanks, kitkathi
SDianneB
I don't have a clue about the treatment regiment, but just want to send your dad my good thoughts & some prayers that this time around knocks out the scourge. Take care. Di
