Thanks Joanie,

My mom had already told me about it, she was really scared when I was dx.ed, Anyway, I watched it, alot of optimism, nothing earth shattering, and I gotta tell ya, I didn't get a warm - fuzzy feeling when they showed the 5 year survival rate for lung cancer on the bottom of the pack at 15%. And all they could say was tobacco, tobacco tobacco; I did like the fact that the State of Maryland is using tobacco monies for research, I think Kentucky is also doing a good job at that.

Anyway let me know what you thought. Maybe it was just me.

God bless and be well

Dear Bob,

I, too, didn't like the 15% rate I saw; I also felt that these drs. should emphasize to the public what a killer LUNG CANCER is to the whole population. Honestly, sometimes i think the stigma will never go away. On the up side, it is uplifting to see such dedicated people working on this.

Joanie
