daggiesmom Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Hi All, The new issue of Cure Magazine arrived yesterday. They address survivorship issues. They talk about the "worry of recurrance" problem that survivors deal with on a daily basis. They also talk about the anxiety that survivors experience once the actual treatments stop - and you go back to your "regular" life (no more running for radiation twice per day, no 3 week chemo regimes, etc.). I remember being teary about the fact that I wouldn't have to see my doctor so frequently. I later learned that this is quite a common feeling and that much of the anxiety I was feeling was in fact, normal. Thank goodness, I thought I was really losing it Anyway, Cure Magazine this month is a good read! Joanie Quote

john Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 One organization that does a lot with survivorship is the Lance Armstrong Foundation. http://www.laf.org Quote
