paul Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 I had a squamous adenocarcinoma in my left lung and had to have a pnumonectomy in feb 2002. the operation went well and saved my life but I am still in pain having to take 400 mg of tramadol per day.its been nearly 18 months since the op, and the chest pain I have will not decrease as if I miss a dose of the pain killers -200mg in the morning and 200mg at night ,the pain comes on 5 or 6 hours later .and is tremendous. If anybody has had this experience I would appriciate any info. just hope one day in the near future it will ease, giving me a better quality of life. living in hope paul. Quote
JudyB Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 Paul, Your pain is called Post Thoracic Pain Syndrome. See my post in this category. I can certainly sympathize w/you. I also had my surgery in Feb 2002. Do you have a Pain Clinic near you? You'll see that there are no pain killer meds in what I am doing, for that I'm eternally grateful. I don't do well on pain meds. I will be updating... JudyB Quote
