Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Eppie, We lived in Quebec, Canada, very cold in the winter, and a family of squirrels had made their nest on the side of the chimney (wood stove) and one morning Mike opened the door of the stove to start it for the day and right there a squirrel was looking at him, did not get burned and Mike let him escape and return to his family. Ann Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Eppie...what a great picture! My neighbor has a big oak tree that spreads over into my yard. There are so many little squirrels that hang out in that tree. I love to watch all their little antics. When we had all the hurricanes here in 2004, wildlife shelters were absolutely filled with baby squirrels that had fallen from trees.
