RandyW Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 FIGHTING BACK: Lung cancer has touched the Bennett family in Burlington in multiple ways. Stacey and Lisa Bennett lost their father, a retired Cambridge firefighter, to lung cancer just 17 days after he was diagnosed. A reasonably healthy man, the Bennett sisters' father complained of back pain and was promptly diagnosed with non small-cell lung cancer in the fourth stage. Their father had also lost two sisters to lung cancer, and his brother is undergoing chemotherapy for the disease. To fight back, the Bennetts are involved in the first annual Boston-area Lung Cancer Walk and Fun Run scheduled for Nov. 11 at Castle Island in South Boston.
