missyk
~Ned~ We say it Huh-Why-Eee here! LOL When we moved to Eye-Oh-Wah from P.A. when I was young I was most amused by the dialect that is very distinctly Iowegian...But "pop" and "soda" were the ones that confused me the most. THEN I visited my father in VA...and couldn't figure out why every single person down there drank Coke!!! Mom has a classic story of moving here (she was born and raised "out East") and calling a pizza joint saying she wanted to order a "pie". She finally gave up when she realized the confused clerk had NO idea what she was trying to order...we just drove up there and she was able to make herself understood! Have a great one!! teresag
44% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. A lot of my responses were "Great Lakes" region. Which is right, since I grew up in Ohio.
