Lupus Inhibitor

So my moms oncologists nurse called and her onc. wants her to have some more tests because they found a lupus inhibitor in her blood. If she was to have this biopsy and did have this it could be VERY dangerous. Is anyone familiar with this and what it is and what it means? Let me know thanks.
