It's important to have good nutrition for your general health during cancer treatment. Some people have difficulty eating during some treatments-- it might be due to nausea or to irritation of the mouth or throat. For them, it's important to find what they CAN eat and eat that, even if it isn't well balanced. Tom G, for example, could tolerate mint ice cream better than anything. if a person can't tolerate enough regular food, nutritional drinks like Ensure can be helpful in getting protein and keeping weight up.
