Kelvin4426
Hi just wondering if non smokers have a better chance even at later stages. My mom is 3b and a non smoker I've been reading that non smokers have a good chance with biomarkers and wanted to see what you guys thought
Tom Galli
Kelvin, Your's is an interesting questions. I'm not sure I've ever seen prognosis data arrayed for diagnosed non smokers versus smokers. I do know that adenocarcinoma is the type of lung cancer most often associated with non smoker lung cancer and treatment of several forms of adenocarcinoma, even with targeted therapy, can be very tricky. (Targeted therapy is only used for certain types of adenocarcinoma.) The biomarkers you refer to are the indicators that point to the possibility of using targeted therapy treatment methods. Stay the course. Tom
