Hi Everyone--Was wondering after finishing the set protocal that one's onc sets up (like 6 rounds of this or that chemo ) and it is finished how long does the chemo stay in the body? Thanks Carlton

Dear ICarlton,

Hello to you. I asked my Onc Doc that question 8-1/2 years ago when I was doing my chemo and he replied (72 hours). Chemo is NOT like radiation where it continues to work for up to 6 months. But, it does take time for the cancer cells to die off. So, you won't see much change for a few weeks after chemo, that I know of. I'm not a doc, but this is what I have learned and heard from others.
