Angie Daughter of Bill
Real Mothers . . . Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it. Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox. Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids. Real Mothers know that dried playdough doesn't come out of shag carpets. Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up. Real Mothers sometimes ask "why me?" and get their answer when a little voice says, "because I love you best." Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade . . . It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mommy to Mom. ************************************************************* I hope all of you real mothers have a great day!!! TeeTaa
Uhhhh - I was liking this til the last part, but I still call mine "Mama," as do my siblings. Does this mean we have issues? TeeTaa
Elaine
Katha: Here's a possible answer as per a recent post! If you remember I scored over the top on that recent questionaire about whose Southern. How, I don't know, except my birth father (who I never met) was an Alabama boy. But I probably can't come up with as good an answer as many of you could. So someone else try! Don't come down here tellin us to call our Mamas, "Mom" or "Motha"--or implying we got some kind of "issues." We call our Mamas, Mama cos that's what they are! If we called our mamas, "Mother" they would think we were some kind of uppity. And our butts would be about as sore as your butts are gonna be once we kick your "Motha" lovin' rears back to where they belong!
Angie Daughter of Bill
TeeTaa, Of course ya'll have issues..........you're from Grorgia. You do know I'm kidding, right?? AND, my Mom is still Mom, not mother. I think Elaine explained it pretty well. Angie
