Tammy,
The scans sound encouraging in the fact not only stable, but some shrinkage. This is
good news. Prayers that your Dad's quality of life improves over time.

(((Sandra)))
I am so very sorry to read this post. Many prayers are coming your way. I can not offer
any information about the chemo drugs, I just hope you get relief from your pain.

I get home later on wed nights so I will try and long on when I get home. Hopefully I can
"talk" to everyone tonight.

My dear friend,
Praying for you and your loved ones.

To always be true to myself. Do not let others persuade my decisions. Follow my heart
and in the end all things will trun out ok. My Mom is one smart cookie I ,may
have not always made the right decisions, but I could live with the fact, that right or wrong,
good or bad, my decisions have been my own.

I am a hyper kitty Alan is a cuddly puppy

Don't know if this will help or not, but only when it was BAD news do our Drs call. So Alan
and I have the thought process that no news is good news. When Alan's cancer went
to his brain, all of his Drs called us, every MRI since has been clear and never a call.
My prayers to you and your family, and please keep us updated.

Prayers for you and your family. Please keep us posted, and I do hope that you find
a hospice that you and your family are comfortable with.

Hi Gail,
I can't really add much to what everyone else has said, but sending lots of postivie
thoughts and prayers

Hi Nancy,
I understand your disappointment. Alan had the same results with his last round of chemo with his latest recurrance.
We keep reminding ourselves that stable is GOOD news. Glad to hear you have options.

Hi Deb,
appetite is one of the biggest battles I have with my husband. Sometimes it is like getting
a child to eat Alan has lost close to 100 pounds since his DX 3 years ago. Alan has
lost 40 pounds since his latest recurrance in Dec. If he doesn't eat, we make sure he
gets as much fluid as possible. We have learned that keeping dehydration at bay is most
important.
Trying leaving easy to eat foods, meaning something that can be eaten with fingers,
within close reach of your husband. He just might eat without even realizing he is doing
so. Also foods that do not take much effort to eat, such as scrambled eggs, pudding ect
are also good. The simple act of cutting food and chewing just is too much effort for
those already exhausted from treatment.
I hope things start to turn around for the both of you.

I must be anti american or something, I have never watched a single
episode of American Idol Maybe its because
more people would rather vote for an up and coming
singer then the next President. (sorry had to throw
that in.) No wonder gas is over $4.00 a gallon.

Well I am pretty much an open book. I honestly can not
say I have any real secrets. Like others, I do keep
my political beliefs to myself (if I am just meeting someone),
those close to me know exactly where I stand. Just
walk by my desk at work, its suttle, but no question
which party I support.

As long as I have private sleeping car and could get
on and off as I pleased, this would be a great way
to see the country

Nothing good really happened to me, but Alan had a good day.
After having a terrible week, he deserved a good day

Jackie,
As I am the caregiver to my husband (who doens't have
girls ) and could not have surgery. I just
wanted to offer up many prayers for your surgery and recovery.
Keep us posted.

Susan,
so glad to hear it was just a popped rib. Its horrible
the way every little ache pain and whatever else has
us all "wondering" if this is it. Completely S-cks,
but is our "new normal"
Hugs for both you and your mom
My sister was admitted last night

Gracie,
Many prayers are headed your way. I hope your sister is strong enough for the procedure
and that she gets relief from all the fluid built up in her lungs.
