  1. Let me tell you. When my husband was in the hospital, the ER doc walked in after 2 hrs, and said he is waiting for the CT, before he can tell me anything, well after another 2 hours he said, all's well, and that they need to keep my husband for observation. He further said, oh one thing, you need to know, his gallstones are somewhat acting up and looking at his previous CT which was a month ago, this is new. I said, DOC, how much do you want to bet that you were reading someone's CT? he said why? I said because last month he was diagnosed with gallstones and I have the CT report in my purse. He looked stunned and say, excuse me, I stand corrected. What? corrected? Get your doctors *ss correct before you come to me and read someone elses report well you? Oh well, things we do to stay alive. Almost need a Masters degree just to survive.

    God Bless us all.

  2. Laura & Karen and family:

Please accept our deepest sympathy. I could never get used on how evil and cruel this diesease is to humanity. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Laura, please take care of your mom and yourself.

  3. Great news. Those little darn cysts. I had 2 of those removed. One in each. Surgeon said it was a size of a quarter, and they are nothing but fatty tissues or calcium deposits, it doesn't need to be removed since it is b9. I insisted to have those buggers zapped. I don't want it in my body. If it doesn't belong there, it must leave the building. Anyway. I'm very happy your daughters test came out B9.

    God bless

  4. For my husband it is every 3 months. His original tumor one and only primary was also removed in March 2005.

He has been on chemo since July with a 3 month break in October to Jan. He had 3 CT/PET since July 2005 and schedule again next week, for the 4th time 3/13/06. I'm not sure if it's standard but I would difinitely ask the onc why so long of a wait to test?

I wouldn't wait too long myself, no no no, not here I don't think.

    God Bless.

  6. Hi Karen:

I'm so glad to hear from you. I used to have pain in my calf, doc took a blood test and it was low potassium. One week on potassium supplements and all the pain went away. But you do have to get it checked, ASAP. Do not second guess or self medicate. We are not doctors here, we can only say base on our experiences.

God Bless you and Ken and the entire family.

  8. Hi Linda:

Welcome to our family. I echo everyone on the chemo treatments. My husband did not have any harsh reaction to chemo. The worst was low reb blood cells but they fix those quickly with blood transfusion. Other than than it's very well tolerable and there's nothing to be feared about. Oncologist monitor thier patient very closely for side effects and stop it if there is a slight sign of bad reaction. My husband comes in for blood check up 3x a week. Tell your husband it's worth the shot. Hey, at this point in life, everything is worth trying. I respect everybodys choices; just my 2 cents.

    God Bless,

    Love,

    Malou
