  1. Dear Val,

I am holding you in my thoughts. I know the pain of losing your beloved mom. My daughter too helped get me through some tough times. Please contact me if you ever need someone to listen. Take care of yourself.

    All my best.

  2. I recently read this in a magazine...thought I would pass it along, because Tammy Faye's show, on battling lung cancer, starts on the 25th.

    --------------------------------------------

Tammy Faye Messner (Baker), 63, tells People Magazine that the lung cancer she's battled has returned. The star is scheduled to undergo chemotherapy August 1 to treat an inoperable tumor in her lung. About a month ago, Messner completed 14 radiation treatments for cancer, which is part of a new documentary, Tammy Faye: Death Defying, due July 25 on WE. Messner says she's using humor to cope. "During radiation, I did not lose my hair, but I lost my eyelashes. Which is the funniest thing in the world to me, because it's my trademark."

  3. Val, I am so sorry. I remember the day we decided to call in Hospice (and just because you do, doesn't mean a miracle still can't happen). They were a blessing to my family and helped my mom a great deal. If you need someone to listen, please know I am here. I truly understand.

  4. How wonderful of you both! I am sure it means so much to the other couples. I think it is a blessing of you to take something life altering and turn it into helping others. All my best to both of you.

  5. Thanks for updating us Denise. So glad to hear your dad is doing good. I know what you mean about wanting to be proactive and talk to the doc directly. Will be keeping your aunt in my thoughts. I do know that cysts can definitely be benign. I am having a couple removed this week, in fact.

    Thinking of you.

  6. Dearest Denise,

I am sorry you have all this coming at you. You continue to be in my thoughts and I will add your dad and aunt to my prayers. Sending you a big hug.

  7. So very sad...I hate this disease! My heart goes out to the Chapman family during this difficult time. I am so so sorry. His humor, kindness and wit will be so sorely missed. My deepest sympathies.

  8. Karen, thanks so much for the update. congratulations on the house. Sounds wonderful. I am sorry to hear about Dave's pain. And Faith, what a special blessing. I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts as you await the results. Hugs to you.
