Judy ... I so hope the frustrating months of no answers is soon coming to the end. Your new doc sounds fantastic and I trust he will have you pain free in no time. I cannot begin to imagine what you have been going through with the pain ... it sounds horrible. Keep us posted on what he comes up with and hang in there.
Hugs,
Linda

Judy - thanks for the heads up on Bruce's move. I have been wandering around Yellowknife looking for the guy for months ... only to find he is in Alberta (my home province). Instead of waiting on the bus I think it is time to start my trek home before the snow flies .

Hey Becky - last I remember Randy's dog was driving the bus! Maybe a little too much wine for me?!?! Somehow I got left behind when we were headed to Bruce's up North - it is getting wa-a-a-y too cold here - can you swing by and pick me up soon?!?!? (Seriously, I don't care who's driving!!!)

Sounds like a glorious weekend Ronnie! With the exception of your sister of course - hope she is feeling better after her hospital visit.

Susan - I am so very sorry to hear about your mom. I can't imagine how your heart is breaking right now.
I pray that hospice will give your mom more pain free, comfortable days and that she is able to be home soon.
Please take care ... I am sending you and your mom many cyber hugs.
Warmly,
Linda

Jussi - it is so great to hear from you! Praying very hard that this virus will kill that *$#*$ cancer quick! Look forward to hearing some good news very soon Jussi.
Warm regards,

Hey Mike - my daughter & I came home from hospital in Edmonton on Friday and she is doing well. It is so good to see her walking again (albeit with a limp right now) as the surgery was a success.
It is nice to be back posting! We had a very busy summer as we acquired a shop for our business and unfortunately it took up way too much time. Things seem back to semi-normal so I am hopeful I can pop in a little more often. I missed you guys!
We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving (ours is this weekend) and I plan to thoroughly enjoy family, home, good food and friends. I am wishing you all the same (now or in November).

Judy - I am so sorry to hear this news. Tarceva has worked for so many people and I will be praying hard that it will provide you many years of worry-free and minimal symptoms stability.
You are such a rock for this community and are so loved. I wish I could do more than shoot off what sound like empty words, but I want you to know that with all my heart and soul I hope that Tarceva brings good results and peace of mind.
Once again you are in the ring - take no prisoners!
Enjoy your driving around...it sounds beautiful.
Love and hugs,
Linda

Loved it!!! How exciting to hear how cyberknife works and what great results Joel has had. They say behind every great man is a great woman - this is the proof!
Way to go Joel & Maryanne!

Hi Early Stagers - just a shout out to say hi to all of you and hope things are well. I know a lot of us don't visit as much as we used to but to all of my "peeps" I just wanted to let you know I think of you often and hope life is treating you well!
If you get a moment drop a line and say "hi".
Hugs,
Linda

Hello and welcome to the place that no-one wants to be part of, but are glad to have available if the need is there. I am sorry that you have need to be here.
I only had one lobe of my lung removed so I can't really help you on how life will be with just one lung; however, I am sure that others who are more experienced with that will be along shortly to share. No matter what stories you get back - everyone is different and everyone has different responses to surgery. You are young and that is definitely a plus.
From your posting it sounds as though you are one very strong and determined lady. I will keep you in my thoughts that you have minimal pain and good results with the possible upcoming surgery and that you can soon be back to stable.
When you know what the plan is as to surgery dates, etc., please let us know and we will be there for you.

Hi Jamie - it is great that life is busy and happy. I miss the photo of your smiling face, but hey, that dog is pretty darn cute!!!

Barb - a HUGE congratulations on 10 years!!! Your description of the walk into the hospital reminded me so much of mine - thankfully that walk brought you these 10 years with many more to come. I am so-o-o happy for you.
LOVE your husband - what a hoot!

Mike - I am just at the hospital with my daughter (knee injury) and while she is in with the doctor's before surgery I decided to check in and see how things turned out with your sister. Yeah for bruises - yes, Annette is totally right we are definitely crazy people to be so happy about bruises! It made my day to read this good news.

Kasey - fashionably late (or just too lazy to get here on time) but I am sending HUGE congratulations your way on six years and counting.
I remember when I first joined here the posts with your smiling face were one of the ones I couldn't read enough about. I am so happy that you reached this milestone -not without heartache along the way I know, but you have given much inspiration to so many and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Susan - I am so sorry to read of your mom's recent news. From your mom's past experience though I think she is going to continue to give this cancer crap a run for its money ... she certainly keeps boxing back (must be all that WII boxing ) Praying hard that Navybean is the one for her.
Take care,
Linda

(((Pat))) - I am so sorry to hear of the difficulties with your eyes - it sounds very painful and uncomfortable. It is reassuring to know that you tested negative for the other diseases they tested for though.
It is sad that you have to worry about the insurance issues on top of everything else and I hope you can find some help on that front with the suggestions others posted as I am obviously no help with that.
I will absolutely say prayers for you and send you all positive thoughts your way. I know Brian is watching over you and loving you through these difficult times.
Hugs,
Linda

Since we are big campers over the summer this is just to let you know that if you don't see or hear from me over a weekend time period I am likely camping. I don't want to annoy everyone putting in a pass for every weekend we leave, but also thought I should provide a heads up. We are leaving tonight, so I won't be checking in on everyone until Monday.
Perhaps if I get a chance next week (and can figure out how) I will post our May long weekend camping photo - complete with snow! Ahhh, Alberta and the weather-it wouldn't seem like May long weekend without the snow .
Have a great weekend everyone!

Enjoy the visit Judy and I love the idea of them waiting on you - that should be the rule...whoever supplies the food doesn't have to cook it!
