  1. Shirlie,

Take care not to get dehydrated. I had chemo on Thursdays and went in Fridays for IV hydration. Also, kept a box of ginger cookies nearby at all times. Good luck to you.

    Hugs,

  2. Hi Lynda,

Maybe it is a cracked rib - I have had two thoracotomies and each time they have taken pieces of two ribs to get to the lung. Maybe the tech was seeing a crack and thought he had had lung surgery. Just a guess. I hope all is well and it is nothing more than a cracked rib. Take care.

    Hugs,

    Nancy B

  3. I admire you Debi for being able to keep quiet. I am afraid I wouldn't have been quite so professional, I would have probably said something, but like you said, that was not the time or place.

The Pink gets to me too. I have friends that have breast cancer and I pray for them, but.....

Maybe we need a different color than "clear", something to stand out. If the general public could just "see" us - that we are normal people just like them. I like the idea of a billboard campaign with us ordinary people talking about lung cancer.

Thanks Debi for venting. It is nice to see that other people feel like I do.

    Hugs,

    Nancy B

  4. Hi Adela, we should get together sometime. We don't race at Irwindale - the track is just too short for a car that goes over 250 mph. We tested there once (just making half passes) but the neighbors complained about the noise so we had to stop and go home.

We do race at Pomona and Fontana.

Let's keep in touch - not too many of us Californians here.

    Hugs,

    Nancy B

  5. Welcome Penny. It is a very scary time but we are right here when you need us. I think once you get a plan of attack in place you will feel much more in control. I am 6 years out from nsclc and almost 2 years with sclc. Let us know what we can do to help you.

    Hugs and prayers,

    Nancy B

  6. So true. My angel is 9 year old Mollie (yellow lab). She has the run of the house and doesn't realize she is a dog. We have to spell everything. She comes to the office with me everyday and when I have to leave her at home to go shopping she is very unhappy. She sat at my feet when I was going through chemo. What a comfort, I just love her sooooo much. Thanks for the post.

  7. Hi Tracy, welcome. You are on my prayer list and I will continue to pray for good results from your treatments and for comfort for your children. I am sure they are so scared. Just stay with us and let us know what we can do to help. Your Aunt Kasey is a sweetheart. Take care and if you have any questions about different treatments, there is bound to be someone here that has "been there, done that".

    Hugs and Prayers,

    Nancy B
