Amy, I am sending you and your dad my prayers. I know 'dads' can be kind of stubborn and often don't want a fuss made but he sounds like he needs to get this taken care of. I'm sure this is really tough on you having your family to take care of and being a distance away from you dad.

Sending baby vibes your way and prayers for an uneventful, smooth delivery .... the fact that a new person is arriving to meet the world is and EVENT in itself. Both mine were late but I am hoping for the best for you. I'm going to go with a healthy 9 pounder. I'm not being mean, honest. My 10 pounder was 5 hours labor from start to finish and easy ... relatively speaking. If you get a chance to walk during labor it really can help.

It is people like you and Dave that make this saying so true... your post made me go and dig out this yellowed piece of paper that was on my refrigerator for so long and now it needs to return there to remind me of just how lucky I am. Ginny, I always make a point of reading your posts and replies. You have offered so much support and comfort here. My own grieving is for my dad but I gain a great deal of insight from you as to what my mom must be feeling. Thank you for that. I miss my dad more and more each day ... maybe that is because I was far away from him through this whole ordeal. It doesn't seem real some days and then at other times I miss what my children will miss out on in knowing such a great man. It sure doesn't seem fair. Your Earl was definately a great man to have picked you for his wife. Boy... was he ever blessed. I hope your memories grow to be comforting, joyful ones and that you build new ones in your new home. Thinking of you.

Sounds like a good plan. Have you noticed that when you have a pity party with a group ... sometimes it turns into a rip roaring good time and you come away calmer and ready to go back at it again. I hope that is what this does for you.
