Terrible taste

My mother just finished her last WBR treatment today. For the past couple of days, she has been having a "medicinal" taste in her mouth. She is taking Decadron 2mg twice a day, and Tegretol for seizure precautions. We are assuming that the taste is a side effect from the radiation. Anyone know of this?

I've heard others say that using plastic spoons, forks, etc. helps with this.

Hope you guys find something that works well! It's so important to keep the nutrition up.

I had it from chemo. It went away in about 2 wks. after chemo was done.
