dtay Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Dad went to Hospital for his monthly check-up today and he had a chest x-ray which showed that his cancer is still stable. I would have liked shrinkage but stable is great news for my Dad, considering 4 months ago he was given 2 months to live without further treatment. We are so delighted - the Tarceva is helping him to have a good quality of life, and I hope it works for a long, long time. It costs £1700 a month and he has to self-fund (it is not available thru our health system in UK )but if it helps my Dad it is worth every penny. Dawn Quote
Wendy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Dawn, This is great news for your dad and family! I have my fingers and toes crossed for continued good reports, Wendy Quote
trish2418 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 So glad the Tarceva is working for your dad. It's just criminal that the drug that is obviously saving his life is not covered. I hope that changes soon. Trish Quote
