Gratitude - August 19th 2007

Today I'm grateful

to Lynn, my new caregiver,

Her duties are to take me to all

medical appointment as I'm deaf

and even with the best hearing

aids money can buy, I'm still

deaf.........

So I relax now as I know that

when my name will be called she

will hear it for me........that

when questions will be asked she

will be able to tell me what the

question was and I can answer...

From today I'm on high dose of

Prednisone 50mg a day.......

so the fun will start.

Today I am grateful that it is a pleasant day. A little cloudy and much cooler. I'm also grateful that I saw a couple of yellow leaves yesterday signaling that Fall is not far off. Most of all today I am grateful that Dean seems to be heading West and for now I can relax and not have to worry it will hit where my children and grandchildren are.

I am grateful for unexpected cool breezes on really hot days.

I am thankful my hair is all out and not making a mess all over my house, clothes, kids etc. anymore.

I am grateful for my church, which has become like "home." I'm also grateful for my great-niece Sophia who can make me smile no matter what.
