Rachel Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Well, the results are in. My Jan 15 MRI showed 2 brain mets. Not quite what I wanted to hear but I'm sure you all understand that! So instead of going south to Oregon today for PCI I will have radiation for the mets & I don't mean the ball team!! My appointments aren't till next week except for a PET scan Friday so we will leave after the scan and drive and camp in urts along the Oregon coast. A bit of a break before the work begins. TheresaKB Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Rachel, Nothing much to offer but prayers. Brain mets are very much beatable as proven by a lot of brave people here in this board. In the meantime have fun camping in Oregon. Oregon is my favorite place to camp. We've camped at Fort Stevens and Honeyman a few years ago and will be going back to Honeyman this summer. Hang tight! You'll be in my prayers. Theresa Quote
Connie B Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Dear Rachel, I'm sorry to hear your news of the brain mets. Your right when you say, it's not what you wanted to hear! Glad to hear your going to take a little break first. Lots of people have beat the brain mets and you can too. Sending my prayers. Quote
Don Wood Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Here's for excellent radiation results! Quote
Ann Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Beat those mets....and now I don't mean the ball team...LOL! Good luck and enjoy your beautiful scenic drive! Quote
Remembering Dave Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 So sorry to hear about the bad scan. As said this is very beatable. You can do it, especially if you keep on campin!!!!. I went camping as often as possible during my treatments and it helps to keep your mind in the right place. My prayers are with you. David C Quote
