Guest canuckwebgrrl
Steve has just finished round 4 of 6 chemos. He met with a radiologist for the first time today. So in about a month when he's finished chemo., he'll be starting 10 rounds of radiation. To me this is great news, even though introducing another therapy is a little frightening, I just keep in mind that it's one more weapon we have to fight SCLC. Anniemac
Chris, That is good news. I know the treatments can be scary, but it's actually more scary when they are done and your not doing anything to actively fight. My husband had chemo and radiation at the same time and came through it with flying colors. Hope things go as well for you. Annie
Tiny
Chris, Yes, the whole mess is scary, but doing the rad sounds pro-active. Best of luck and know that prayers are with Steve and you!
Carleen
Chris, Having another weapon in our arsenal to fight this battle is always good news. I will be praying that the radiation does wonderful things. Keeping you and your step-father in my thoughts and prayers. Carleen
Guest canuckwebgrrl
Thanks everyone! It is so great to be able to share the good and the bad with people who really understand. KatieB: FYI--Radiation was discussed as an option from the very first appt. with the oncol. He told us it was to be used to solidify the progress made by the chemo. Look out LC, we are an army of fighters
