God's Garden

GOD'S GARDEN

God looked around His garden;

He found an empty place

He then looked down upon this

earth and saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you

and lifted you to rest

God's garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering;

He knew you were in pain

He knew that you would never

get well on earth again.

He saw that road was getting rough

and the hills are hard to climb

So He closed your weary eyelids

and whispered peace be thine.

It broke our hearts to lose you

but you didn't go alone

For part of us went with you

the day God called you home.

Thanks for posting this, Jane. It's the same poem we selected for my dad's memorial pamphlet. I added it in the link where I posted that my dad had passed. http://www.lchelp.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=8888

I just loved it because it was so applicable to our dad and we all cried when I read it out loud to my brother and sisters.

Love,

Peggy

Peggy,

I E mailed that poem to my Brothers wife and to all my family, not remembering where it came from. It is so beautiful and I am sure now that it was your post it came from. Thank you for sharing it with us :D

God Bless You and yours,

Jane
