Rose, Light purple, Gold - what a sight!

Lately, I haven't been paying attention to the sunrise but this morning it insisted that I look. I stepped out on my back porch. The sun was coming up, hiding behind fluffy clouds and coloring them rose, purple, gold - reflecting back from the lake.

I took my binoculars and caught dozens of birds flying over the sunrise. I watched a single bird flying towards me with this beautiful sunrise behind her. There was nothing in the world at that moment but that bird and the illuminated sky.

It reminded me of the song I chose for my funeral. If you've ever heard it, it's a very joyous song.

That was one of my Grandmother's favorite song's,and i believe they sang that at her Funeral along with i'll never cross jordan alone.That was 50 year's ago and i still hear those song's in my head to this day.

I LOVE that song!! You should hear my 12 year old daughter belt it out solo at church. Her young voice.......that old song.........it just does something to me. My Dad wants that song at his funeral also.

What a beautiful picture you have framed with words. I love sun rises and sunsets. I also love the moon. The blue moon a night or two ago was so gorgeous. Take care of yourself and enjoy each one.
