Just opened up this in my work email, They were talking about a red dress event ( red signifying heart)

One out of three American women will die of heart disease.

Leading Causes of Death in US Women in 2000

Heart Disease -----366,000

Stroke--------------103,000

Lung Cancer---------65,000

COPD-----------------62,000

Breast Cancer -------42,000

I had no idea that lung cancer was #3! - I would have thought it would have been much lower on the list. This really makes me want to be more of an activist!

Jane,

Most of the world has NO CLUE that lung cancer is number ONE cancer killer in the world, let alone one of the most leading causes of death in men and women. We always hear about Breast cancer and Prostate cancer, but you hear very little about Lung Cancer. Which is OUR duty to bring Awareness to this devestating disease.
