  1. Very sorry to hear about your mom. I have not been around second hand smoke or ever smoked but was diagnosed with IIIB Adno in June 2004. It was quite a shock. The IV chemo kept me stable but did not shrink the cancer. Iressa put me into remission with the lung cancer but have had three brain mets. At this point I am doing well. I count my blessings every day.Cancer has made me a much more thankful person. God is gracious and merciful. No matter what happens in my life on earth I know the good things are all from God. Will be praying for your mom to find some treatment that is effective for the cancer. pammie

  2. Had my first chemo treatment the day after my port was installed in my right arm. It has never been a source of pain. Your mom needs to have port reinstalled in fixed. Somethingis wrong. Don't let the nurses and docs say it is from putting it in. Shouldn't hurt that much. pammie

  5. While i was weaning off of decadron i had chest pains. All the docs have assured me that it is not the decadron. I think it is the decadron. The heart tests they have done on me show that my heart is healthy. If steroids affect leg and other muscles and make them hurt, why not the heart too. It is a muscle also. This is all just my opinion. pammie
