  1. Kleo If this makes sense please let me know😎 Atezolizumab (Tecentriq®) Atezolizumab (Tecentriq, Genentech USA, Inc, San Francisco, CA, USA) is a monoclonal antibody that binds to PD-L1 and blocks its interaction with PD-1, thereby enhancing T-cell activity against tumor cells.21 Durvalumab (Imfinzi®) Durvalumab (Imfinzi, AstraZeneca, Cambridge, UK) is a human IgG1κ monoclonal antibody that blocks the interaction of PD-L1 with the PD-1 and CD80 (B7.1) molecules.25
  2. Kleo Don't feel like this is the right stuff for me. I bet he will convince you otherwise. 😎
  3. Kleo What you are receiving was just approved in Canada three weeks ago. Gerfloogerbaghin sounds Scottish
  4. Kleo You sure get the most expensive drugs ATEZOLIZUMAB with the funny names.😁
  5. Hi Jane When patient has adverse toxity to a drug the doctor has a decision to make.
  6. Charles Sorry to hear about your condition it was about the same time infusion#8 or 9 that i had to go to ER major cough and they could see inflammation on the lung, They held off on predisone and i noticed on my next blood work my white bloods cell count went off the charts.Still have chest infection that shows on the CT the doctors are aware.. Stay the course Bob
  7. Barb1260 Never experienced any dizziness at all
  8. Kleo 8 hour infusion and i thought 6 hours was bad enough. 90 minutes now with Durvalumab total in and out there. Heading out in thirty minutes. Bob
  9. Kleo Anybody wanna come shave my head????? I already half bald anyway 🤣 Been there done that and it has grown back in my new style.😎
  10. Kleo I guess you were kind of busy with a little Craniotomy on the side and you were concerned about needle biopsy😀 .I have no idea about my specific markers bit late to find out now as i go for #22 on Wednesday this week and finish Durvalumab on August-14 then scan late August now the proof of the pudding is it working will come clear in the next six months. Did they say what type of chemo/immuno you will receive. ? There is always some type of setback in persons cancer treatment and as long as your getting treatment you will handle it. Bob
  11. https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/durvalumab,imfinzi.html
  12. Barb What i read last year geting over 10mg of Predisone while receiving Durvalumab the drug is then halted, Way better to get it cleared as the docs mentioned
  13. Eagle13 Yes Imfinzi sent me all the material for record keeping and a 800 number if rquired for any concerns. while on this drug. I found with getting my bi-weekly blood work sent to me online. That is what the doctors look at prior to ordering your next infusion excellent information to stay on top of
  14. Eagle13 That is correct. My doctor was upset that the ER doctor kept saying i was on chemo and had no idea i was on Immunotherapy. I now keep the info on me at all times and use the medical bracelet that Imfinzi gave me.
  15. Barb That makes sense. I was on infusion #8 and had to go to ER had been coughing all night and the young doctor was going to give me Predisone and i told her i was on Durvalumab and she called the on call oncologist and he ordered a ct, and sure enough inflammation surrounding my tumor that is how the drug works and he said no Predisone and i was sent home
  16. The oncoligist might wonder why you got predisone knowing you were going to get Durvalumab. But if only small dose you will be good to go.
  17. You know the saying. Your only as good as the last scan. lol
  18. Yes i go for #17 on the 24th and ct scan on the 30th and doctors appt on 3rd then oncologist on May-10, So if i get #18 everything must be ok?
  19. Yes but depends on the dosage, The doctor will advise you prior to your infusion? as Durvalumab does cause inflamation i can assure you of that i ended up in ER last December and nearly got Predisone but they decided to hold off.
  20. Most of the information i found was in Intial recommendation. as per link below https://cadth.ca/sites/default/files/pcodr/Reviews2019/10131DurvalumabNSCLC_inRec_approvedbyChair_06Mar2019_Post_07Mar2019_final.pdf
  21. Charles Excellent information for anyone going on this drug. I was the only one last year at the private clinic receiving this drug now five last week in my area in Canada
  22. This is from earlier post this year Durvalumab (Imfinzi) also targets the PD-L1 protein. This drug is used a little differently than the other immunotherapy drugs. It is used in people with certain types of NSCLC whose cancer has not gotten worse after they have already received chemotherapy along with radiation (chemoradiation). The goal of treatment with this drug is to keep the cancer from getting worse for as long as possible. IMO If you stop progression that is one battle won
  23. Intresting article and comment One concern is that patients with less than 1% PD-L1 expression may not derive the same benefit with consolidation durvalumab." — Karen L. Reckamp, MD, http://www.ascopost.com/issues/january-25-2019/pacific-trial-of-durvalumab-in-stage-iii-unresectable-nsclc/
  24. Tomm No idea about remission if showing progression on Durvalumab treatment stops, Side effects for me Faitgue and chest inflammation that is how it works on existing tumors, All my hair has grown back in, Think #16 next week
  25. Opal Sorry to hear of your recent results from the MRI and if they sending you for sterostatic radiation next week for the lesion they must have had good indication from the ct and MRI to proceed in that direction. My next scan is due April-30 with follow up the following week with the doctor for results.I am similar to you and staying positive .
