  1. My doctor said I will be here a minimum of 4 days longer if the chest tube is not ready to come out. I am on my way there as I type and am terrified! Thank you both for your support!
  2. Thank you for the words of encouragement! I am on my way to the hospital now terrified 😩
  3. My surgery is in the morning and I am super anxious! I am having robot assist and scared to death!! Hearing how well you have done gives me hope! Did you have an Exparel Block to assist with pain relief after surgery? It is injected into the wound during the procedure and lasts for up to 5 days but I read about it and the side effects scare me a lot! Not sure I am going to get any sleep tonight!
  4. Hello, I am scheduled for my Wedge resection possible lobectomy tomorrow and am extremely nervous!!! My doctor uses an exparel block to help with pain control but after reading about this it has me even more anxious!! Has anyone else had this? If not can you please tell me what gave you the best pain control following your procedure? thanks!!
  5. Hi everyone, I am scheduled for Robot assisted wedge resection and potential lobectomy 6/1/22. I have been doing some research and was curious if anyone here developed chronic coughing after your procedure and if so does anything help relieve it? I am so close to canceling this and just monitoring the spot. Not sure I can do this.
  6. I am a breast cancer survivor and have been cancer free for 12 years. In 2018 a 3mm nodule was found on one of my many routine scans. Fast forward March 2022 my nodule grown to 8mm and was concerning for new primary. I saw a pulmonologist who told me the nodule on my lung is likely a low grade adenocarcinoma. Today I get a call from the cardio thoracic surgeons office to get scheduled to have the thing removed. I am worried and have lots of questions!

      Hi Chris

I'm so sorry your going through this all again I hope you can find the strength and will to get through this part of the journey you know you can as you had to before, once they remove the problem you will get back on track and living your life as you should be, I was diagnosed last August with lung cancer and had chemotherapy and radiotherapy and thought everything was going well until 4 weeks ago I had a seizure and they found 2 small brain mets which I have had gamma knife radiosurgery for last week, I was also going through a rough time and got very low and depressed but I have turned a corner of sorts because I do want to be a survivor, please try and stay strong and positive you will get through this and everyone on here will help you

      Take care Justin x
