  1. Fay, now I am two days late and two dollars short so can't join the cult I guess. Hope your day was great!

Ginny, if you don't intend to have an intelligent conversation with him, what will you do :lol::lol::lol::lol:

  2. Karen,

Will be praying real real hard for that clean scan.

I sure hope they know he when he goes in for his hair sure has come in different after St. Pat's day hair cut. He is now so much better looking. haha

  3. Berisa,

I just logged on and saw your post. I know what you mean when you talk about the peacefulness you felt at the end. We both watched our loved one suffer extensively and when that ended there was a peacefulness knowing they are okay now.

My prayers go out to you and your family for the loss of a loved one is so very hard to take.

  4. My dear friend Fay,

So very sorry this happened to you yesterday. It is something that cannot be changed so one must move on and pray for the best, after,............ a very long letter to the doctor as Peggy suggested.

To bad you don't have the title Lawyer under your signature.

Just a last minute thought, get your medical record on this to show no biospy was done for any possible future problem......Also record in writing your conversation as close as you can to what was actually said....and keep a copy of your letter you will send to him with that statement in it......

Now, has a glass of wine or watch for a bobcat in the back yard......anything to ease the mind.

  5. Sharon,

The reason you are being asked to take a physical and breathing test is that your records are not showing enough information on your disability for the state to decide whether you are or are not disabled with the disability you have stated you have. Therefore they send you to their dr to ck you for whatever medical info they need. As for the report you say they do not have, you have the right to get this and send it to them if you feel it will help you. Sorry I did not see this post earlier.

  6. Well, I am a day late and a dollar short so for my two cents, give her the hall pass for if you don't she will just play hooky.

Hope you have a good sleep Becky..

T-bone, I had no idea that radiation would change a person's looks. You are looking so much better now. Your nose is so beautiful and those eyes. Watchout for Ms Piggy, she may want you for the show. lol....:lol::lol:

  7. Curtis, that is pretty deep. Not sure I agree with him. I have read and re-read this. Need to have a very deep discussion on this someday. Thanks for posting it, I am now starting to think again.....

  8. Ginny,

Ck out systems of Iressa. Maybe it is causing the fatigue. When did he last have his blood count. Maybe his red count is low and causing an-emia. I just read the article that Ry talked about in the spring issue of Cure and it spoke of anemia possible reason.

I know that Buddy from the day of the operation back in 9/11/02 till his death, never had any strength or energy. He did want to do things but could not. He forced himself to get up and go to Mcdonalds every morning up until about 3 to 4 weeks before 2/12/04. He did have a drive but no energy. He was never on any meds for depression and he was never depressed during all that time. Was Earl always active before all this started or was he someone who was more laid back. If always active then it is prob the meds or blood count or Iressa.

Talk to his dr more. Per the article in Cure, excerise can get him out of the fatigue if it is only caused by the chemo, etc, not the blood count or maybe not the meds he is on.

  9. Gail, am so sorry for you and your friend's family. It is like we say on here all the time. No one knows when their day is whether we are sick or not. Only God knows that day. So we must live each day to the fullest and that is what Buddy and I tried to do since July 30, 2002, the first day of diagnoses. Any day, any time it can happen but we cannot dwell on that. We must learn to take our days here on earth one day at a time and be happy with that day.
