I'm so happy for you and your mom. Her reports couldn't be better! If she can, just go with it...give in and rest. Take the anti-nausea meds, if they don't work, try another. Can't do much about the fatigue other than sleep thru it. My mother now jokes about the spring she slept thru. Just be there for her and enjoy her success!

Is Chemo worth it?
I was given one year 30 months ago....
Please read my profile below, few people have had the amount of chemo that I have and I have had only very minor side effects from any of them. Your milage may differ.

The beginning of the trek is by far the hardest time, it seems slow and very scary. As time goes on it does get easier and you will adapt. Live one day at a time. Keep us updated.

I was called shorty by my Dad, Brother and family friends. It came about at my birth...I was a very long baby and that's when my growth spurt stopped. I am five foot five and settling. I was called Shorty thru Navy boot camp and then it ended. I was in my twenties before I realized "I Was kinda untall". My heighth never bothered me...no matter how tall or short someone is, I still look em straight in the eye.

Met with my ONC to get the results of my latest scan...and the results are.....some shrinkage and some no change (stable). I am on my 9th regimen of treatment (carbo/taxol/avastin) and am still around. This is pretty rare and I am thankful to God for making this happen. The ONC is just shaking her head, that I am still responding to treatments and as in the past I am having virtually no side effects. I have a couple of days when I feel like I played football yesterday, but other than that I feel great......I'm a lucky dude.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.

I would really call the news pretty good...no progression is good.
I had Alimta and had virtually NO side effects. Keep the faith.
