I'll most definatly take the camping. Nothing like sleeping on the ground and listen to the rain.

My other problem is what to do about it. I can't go on disability because even if they accepted me I can't go for months without income and the money is not enough to live on. I hate to keep dropping down job wise too because obviously my income keeps going down too. I know that you can work a little and still receive disability but I don't know how much??

You can earn 860.00 per month and draw SSDI. Also if you can get short term disability from work, even at 60%, this is considered income and applied to the income. You can also earn this amount while applying for SSDI.

As a young minister, I was asked by a funeral director to hold a graveside service for a homeless man, with no family or friends.
The funeral was to be held at a new cemetery way back in the country and this man would be the first to be laid to rest.
As I was not familiar with the backwoods area, I became lost. And being the typical man, I did not stop to ask for directions and finally arrived an hour late I saw the backhoe and the crew, who were eating lunch, but the hearse was no where in sight.
I apologized to the workers for my tardiness and stepped to the side of the open grave where I saw the vault lid already in place. I assured the workers I would not hold them up for long, but this was the proper thing to do.
The workers gathered around, still eating their lunch. I poured my out heart and soul and as I preached, the workers began to say "Amen","Praise the Lord", and "Glory". So I preached and I preached like I'd never preached before: from Genesis all the way to Revelations.
I closed the lengthy service with a prayer and walked to my car. As I was opening the car door and taking off my coat, I overheard one of the workers say to another, "I ain't never seen anything like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks for over twenty years."

Happy Spring to you too Frank.
BTW...Did you have to mention that lawn tractor/

I can't think of any words to say right now. I think Ann described it well.

Thanks Cindi. I usually don't go back into a thread unless I know there is an update. That way I don't have to know where I stopped in a thread. I do follow some threads tho. Thanks again.

Weather is bad in East Tennessee today. It stormed all night and is supposed to do the same today. Wouldn't you know I just mowed yesterday. Love the mountain air tho.

Praying for peace for Mike and comfort for you and the girls.

Ask your doctor for Magic Mouthwash. It doesn't taste all that great but it does help. Also when I was in the hospital after surgery, I got a GI Coctail. This may be what Kasey is talking about. I know it had Mallox and Benedril in it. It did wonders for me but not sure if you can get it mixed at pharmacy or if only at hospital.

Just wanted to remind you that you can earn as much as $830 per month and still be able to process your claim. This amount can be from any source such as short term disability, vacation or sick leave or whatever. Also you can earn that amount and continue to draw your benifits if approved.
My SSDI was approved in less then 3 months but could not draw until the 6th month. Also your medicare kicks in after 2 years.

Good one Ann, but not good enough to top Frank's toilet seat. Keep trying ladies.

Has anyone heard anything from or about Elaine? I sent 2 PM's but no reply. She has not posted in ages or have I missed something? If you are lurking out there Elaine, know that I am thinking about you and hope all is well.

Frank this is the best one yet. Ladies you might as well hang it up for this month. Us guys have it hands down. Now I know you will try to top it so come on send them in. This should be interesting.

I would try to figure out who I could help today and how I could do it.

I understand what you mean by being scared and afraid. Everybody here has been in your shoes. Be strong for your mother. A mother can sense fear you know. Be strong and that will help her more than anything. Lean on our shoulder and let us worry for you. Be sure to post the results which I just know will be good. Smile.
-
Welcome Diane. Sorry to hear about your mother. Stay with us and we will help you and your mother as we travel the roads together. Come often and keep us updated. Tell mom hello and to hang in there.

I am glad to hear that you got some good news. Now my question is how in the world did you survive for 3 weeks waiting on results?
-
Glad that the cancer is stable. I too had pneumonia a few weeks back so I know that feeling. Hopefully the bronc will show nothing major. Continue to keep the family in my prayers.
-
This is very significant results. I view any reduction as good news but 50% is excelent news. Let's hope it continues to shrink with the remaining treatments.

The chart didn't go back that far (he he!)!
Chart goes back to 1890 Don.
