Jen was a wonderful person from what I could gather from her posts. She is missed. Best wishes to you and the family. Come post as often as you like. We would love to hear from you.

Thanks Ry. Charlie if you get this message, know that you are in my thoughts. Have missed you around here.

Those of us who have spent any time in a doctor's office should appreciate this! Doesn't it seem that more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line? Here's what happened to Bubba:
Bubba walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Bubba said, Shingles. So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat. Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, Shingles. So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Bubba to wait in the examining room. A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, Shingles. So the nurse gave Bubba a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Bubba to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor. An hour later the doctor came in and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, Shingles. The doctor asked, Where?
Bubba said, "Outside on the truck. Where do you want them??"

Was wondering the same myself. Hope all is well with her. Come out of the closet girl and give an account of yourself.

I am not a moderator but I do read each post. I don't respond a lot because I feel at times I am not the best with words. If I can add something that someone has not answered then I post. Why do I read them all...because I care. When I was first dx I looked to anybdy that I could that could answer my questions. I want to be able to maybe help someone along the way. Helping with the cookbook was good for me. I felt like I was giving something that was needed.
Kinda got off subject here but that is why I come here. We are all on this roller coaster together and we need each other.

Thanks Randy. This was the post I was looking for.

I have nothing more to add that the others have said. They have given you good advice.
You ask "what comes next." What comes next is what you want to come next. You made the decision to take the Path Less Traveled and I respect your decision on that. Only you knows what is best for you. Now back to your question. You made the first decision now you decide what comes next. Take that dream vacation you always wanted or take that airplne ride or spend the rest of your life tring to meet that person you always wanted to meet. Remember, YOU are in control of your life and not the cancer.
Stay with us and keep us posted on things as they progress. We are here for you.

It also depends on the type of cancer. Non-small cell (NSCLC) or Small Cell (SCLC). There have been several post lately as to stage. Type in Stage and click on search. I will try to find it for you. I know there was a good explanation last week.

We are approaching the deadline to submit recipes for our cookbook. We now have 508 recipes. I have proof read each one of them at least once. I have looked at some of them more then once. There are others that are proof reading them also.
Please take a moment and go to www.typensave.com and look at your recipes. There is a chance that yours could be wrong. With this many, and all the formatting I have done, I could have made a mistake. Did I say that? We don't want that now do we?
If you do find that something is not right, PM me or one of the others and we will change it for you.
Also look at your name and make sure it appears the way you want it.
PS....Don't take a peak at anyone elses recipe now cause you might decide you need to order a book or two.

I also had mine face down. I was out of it also. The hardest part was having to lay on my stomach for 3 hours after the procedure to reduce chance for collapsed lung. Your dad should be fine.

Love it Linda. Perfect for the THIS and THAT Section. I posted it there so if anyone object PM me and I'll remove it.

As of right now there are 434 recipies in the book. I think we could use a few more for the "Cookies and Candy" section. We only have around 24. I know that some of you ladies like to cook those goodies for the holidays.
I have proof read each of the recepies at least once. I have even looked at most of them twice. They are mouth watering. I urge you to think about ordering as soon as they become available. They will make nice gifts. You can see the recepies at www.typensave.com
I know I speak for Andrea, and the rest that have worked on them, when I say "Thanks for the recepies". If you have anymore, send them in.

Watched it time and time again. Always loved the Cowardly Lion. All were good tho. good lesson to be learned here.

I went back over most of the ones that were already proofed. I found some mistakes on second round that I missed on first round. Most mistakes I find are typing or format. I am also contacting the person if possible. It never hurts to have too many readers. I am not the best at grammer...commas and periods etc. Hope I don't create more work for rest of you.
I found recipie that listed ...1 can preaches...
Also, where does Apple Butter and Jam go?
Another question for the proofers....
I have been changing this 9x13x2 and 9"x13"x2" to look like this 9 x 13 x 2-inch so book will be uniform. Is this the better way?
-
I have proof read 331 of them. I am double proofing also. Sure am getting hungry.
-
Stay in that bed and rest. Leave the cookbook to us. Know this is easier said then done with people like me proof reading
-
I have been wondering also. I was going to ask the other day but she posted so I didn't. Cindy you can not walk off like that. Where is RY?????????

I overheard 2 farmers talking the other day. There must have been several Schitt family members visiting them. One claimed he wrecked his tracter by running into Pilla Schitt. The other farmer kept asking if it was Horse Schitt or Cow Schitt. I think I heard one of them mention Pig Schitt but I am not sure which one.

I didn't get my 1st check until I was off 6 months either.

Pneumonia
in NSCLC GROUP
Posted
Don't know how to answer about your dad not responding to antibotics. I can tell you this tho, I have had pneumonia 3 times since surgery in 2003. It is not uncommon. Hope he improves. Keep us posted.
