  1. Tuesday and very

    bad weather here,

    it is winter after all.

    Grateful for the book my

    friend sent me,

    *The Garden of Prayer*

    by Thomas Kinkade each

page is one of his painting

    with a quote from great

    thinkers of out time.

    This could be for Nova

    Thomas Kinkade's

    message.

    ''When you incorporate prayer into

your daily routine, you will be

    amazed at the joy. comfort,

and peace that it will bring to

    your life''

    --

Will write more of his thinking

about prayer in a few days.

    -------------

    So I tell you,

whatever you ask for in prayer,

believe that you have received it,

    and it will be yours.

    (Mark 11:24)

    -----------

    So for those having operation

or treatment today I will say a

    prayer.

    Have a good day.

  2. Monday,

    back at work for many

    myself included.

    Grateful for yesterday.

    ---------

    The eyes of the Lord

    are the righteous and

    His ears are attentive

    to their prayers.

    (1 Peter 3:l2

    --------------

    lighter

    -----------

    A friend is a person

    who listens attentively

    while you say nothing.

    -----------

    Have a good day.

  3. Are you the main caregiver to your father?

Anybody else in the family to help?

For the hospice, getting the good one

is on top of the list, easy to introduce

your father to it, like saying

''They will help me take care of you''

Your father may do very well for a long

    time without treatment.

Hard to say what is needed to be prepared

as your situation (for me) is not clear.

But the important part is to let your father

    know he is love.

  4. I would use the word reticent

    or reluctant for myself.

I think we get to a point we

want to keep to ourselves some

part of the previous life we had

in case we could get it back or

that what happened was just a bad

    dream.

Like living in two worlds the yesterday

and the today and we still have a choice

of the one we want to be living in,

delusion must be a part of grieving.

  5. Saturday, the day

    I was waiting for.

    Grateful that I still

    can face adversity with a

    smile or a quiet chuckle

    because nothing can hurt me

    more than losing Mike.

    -----------------

    Kind words are jewels

    that live in the heart

    and soul and remain

    as blessed memories

    years after they have

    been spoken.

    Have a good weekend.

  6. Friday, last working

day of the week for some

but the start of the week

    end for all.

Enjoy as much as you can.

    Grateful for the good news

    from members of this forum,

    grateful Katie is getting the

    needed medication to make her

    feel better.

Grateful that I resumed my schedule

of volunteer work this week and

the welcome back I got from my

    co-workers.

    ------------------

    I believe in miracles:

I see them all around me

    in the warmth of sunshine,

    the beauty of flowers, the

    laughter of children, the

    compassion of friends,

    the intimacy of family.

    ------------------

    Have a good day.

  7. Good morning all,

    Grateful today for

    the good report my friend

    Lucile got from the hopital

    after her operation.

    -----------

    Today well-lived

    makes every yesterday a

    dream of happiness,

    and every tomorrow

    a vision of hope

    ----------

    Have a good day.

  8. Geri,

    Good luck,

my friend had one done two years

ago I was with her, painful; yes

    worth it; yes.

Goal of it is to cause irritation between

the two layers of the covering of the lung

so the bonding is good. Some rolling

around to spread the slurry talc.

    Ibuprofen or anti-inflammatory medication

are a good help with the pain.
