  2. Monday and bad weather again,

we are having one winter that

will go on record for the lack

    of sunshine....

    Grateful for yesterday,

    nice lunch with Lucile and

    some shopping after.

Grateful to be asked (at my age)

to give a hand, makes me feel

    useful.

    --------------

    Be aware of anxiety.

    Next to sin, there is

    nothing that so troubles

    the mind, strains the heart,

    distresses the soul, and

    confuses judgment.

    (William Ullathorne)

    -----------------

    All very good those sayings

but I wish they had a way

    to cure the anxiety.

    May look for another book.

    Have a good week.

  3. Shelly,

    On the bright side,

My best friend's mother had three very

agressive cancers but not lc, the last

one in 1976, she is now 103 years old,

lives with Susanne in Victoria BC, is

active, paints, reads and goes out every

day. Her grandmother died when she was

105 and her mother wants to beat that

    age.......

    Their ancectors are from Scotland.

I have two slow growing cancer and just

wait and see, the last one thyroid could

take up to ten years before needing attention,

so got it in 2004 and doing well without

    treatment for it.

Is it too late for a second opinion?

    The treatment sounds harsh.

    Wishing her the best.

    Take care.

  4. Good Sunday to all.

    Grateful for my new

    computer,

    but sorry I got only

    a few addresses back,

the rest I'll have to find.

The weather will be cloudy again,

we did not get enough sunshine this

winter and the result is some

    *Cabin Fever* all around.

    --------------

    At twenty years of age, the will reigns;

    at thirty, the wit;

    and at forty, the judgment.

    (Benjamin Franklin)

    --------------

    Enjoy Sunday.

  5. Michele,

Make a clean break and force your

father to part NOW with all the things

you would like from your mother.

You could be smooth doing it and it will

give you satisfaction to have it done

    now.

The longer you wait the worst the family

    situation will get.

Sorry for what you are going through.

  6. Barb,

The help of a gried group was not

offered to me, now I do not mind

missing on it as I am proud to have

walk that path alone and able to see

    the sun again.

The good days will be made in part from

    souvenirs of the old days,

    souvenirs of precious

    moments that are only yours,

    to remember.

They may bring tears one day and a smile

    the next.

  7. I am very good for shopping.

I have a list that I always forget on the

    fridge magnet.

When I am out,I may stop by the store

without the list and buy a big order so it

will be delivered and forget the essential.

Buy once a year all the paper; toilet, hand

    towels,napkings and facial tissues,

have a huge spare room for all that.

Same for cleaning products and soaps.

Forget what is in the pantry or fridge and

    end up giving food away.

It is over four years that I cook for one person

    and sill buy for two........

    But never forget sweets...

  8. Patti,

I always put stress as number one culprit

for sickness, any sickness that hits a

person must have a deep root somewhere.

Stress works on the immune system

and that is when and why the sickness that

may have been sleeping wakes up.

    Thank you Joe.

    Jackie
