Fay,
Your are most definitely in Rochelle's and my thoughts, and well wishes. We are hoping for all the best for you.

Nelson,
I had an increased heart rate after all various my chemo iv's. I am not sure what started. A cardiologist has me on 2 different medications the last 3 years. They have worked so he keeps me on it.
I started Iressa shortly after my increased heart rate. I was on it for a year, then put on tarceva for 2 more years. I was just taken off it because I have had .2cm x .1cm increase in my tumor. Rash, on and off diarrhea, dry skin, and slow hair growth were my only side effects. I was a very doable chemo.
It was very good to me as well to others here.

Tammy,
For me it was well worth it. I am about to start it again.
There are a few things to consider though.
1) Is age.
2) Current health. I was in very good health before diagnosis.

I am wishing for you get all the strength you need to get through these next trying days. It is great you have so much family to help you get through this.

Thank you John.
I may qualify for one of the trials. I printed the web pages for my Onc.

This news saddens everyone Leslie had contact with. My best to her family to get through the times missing her.

I know coughing up blood is scary. It has happened to me a few times. The doctor usually gives me an antibiotic and it seems to help. It could also be from your sore/dry throat.
A few things I do for my cough. One is chewing gum. Another is hard candy. Cough syrup with codeine and phenergan. During the day a med called tessalon perle. It is a scrip.
I would not worry about small amounts of blood, but still see a doctor soon.

A monkey is sitting in a tree, smoking a joint, when a lizard walks past. The lizard looks up and says to the monkey "Hey! What are you doing?" The monkey says, "Smoking a joint. Come up and join me, my cold-blooded friend."
So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey and they have another joint. After a while the lizard says his mouth is dry, and that he's going to get a drink from the river.
At the riverbank, the lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls in. A Crocodile sees this and swims over to the stoned lizard, helping him to the side. He then asks the lizard, "What's the matter with you?"
The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting in the tree, smoking a joint with his new monkey friend. He then explained how his mouth got dry, and that he was so wasted that, when he went to get a drink from the river, he fell in! The inquisitive crocodile says he has to check this out.
He walks into the jungle and finds the tree where the monkey is sitting, finishing a joint. He looks up and says, "Hey, MONKEY!"
The Monkey looks down and says "WOOOO, DUUUUDE . . . How much water did you drink?"

I was confuse too, easily done. Rochelle explained it to me. Ann does it from work on the weekdays and Lily does it on the weekends.

This is easy.
Give it to Rochelle, she has the best plan.

Thank you everyone. I stand corrected. I was in only one clinical trial and everyone got the drug Iressa.

Don't worry your pretty blond head. My pretty Brunette wife did not get it ether.

A bit of a flaw in the story line. I believe they do not do blind studies anymore with cancer patients. Everybody gets the drug. I am not absolutely sure on this, but this is something I remember hearing some where.

First to the liqueur Isle. Bailey's Irish cream, Jack Daniels Single Barrel.
Fresh veggies, Snow crab, lobster, Tee Bone steaks
Any time left the beer cooler. Labatts select, and Molson Canadian.

May thats why I keep having them.

Joanie,
I am really glad to see you are back home. Now you can finally get some rest. Hospitals are no place to get any sleep.
Welcome home

I did not communicate with Addie much, but she sure touched me and Rochelle. The "Addietude" sure will live on with all of us in our hearts. She will surely be missed by everyone who had any contact with her.
My best thoughts go out to her family and friends to get through these trying times.
