  1. Been out a few days, need a few more. Been in the Hosiptal, couldn't get the nausea under control and they admitted me.

Give a day or two to get me bearings and I'll post!

  2. I don't have an answer for you. I feel like I am going crazy, I watch the clock, can't get interested in anything. I have sever nausea and it's killing me! I try to watch TV and take my pain meds. I get about 2hrs worth of releif with pain meds.

I hang on till the next time it's time for pills and get some relief. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I know what she is going through!

  3. David was in the ER getting his blood transution yesterday. Well I decided that he was getting all the attention again!

Had major problems breathing all day and my heart was racing higher then normal, ended up in the ER checked for pulmonary embolism again! Everything is fine, increased the beta blocker.

I'm glad the doctors are being very cautious with me, but boy am I tired of all this mess!

  4. I had carbo/Tax and had all the side effects (had 7 rounds, 6 with radiation and one without). Can't say that it worked for me since my cancer returned 3 months after treatment ended.

Good luck and I'm glad she is handleing it so well!!!

  5. Today is my one year anniversary of having quit smoking! It was at 7:30am one year ago that I took the last drag off of a cigerette.

I never did cheat, but boy do I miss them. It almost feels like my best friend died one year ago.

Since the cancer had reappeared (this past February) I would have started to smoke again but I swear the surgeon did something when he did surgery to make it so I couldn't smoke again! I wish I could, but I can't, it would kill me. It kills me to just smell it on someone.

Guess I should celebrate no cigs for one year!

  6. Hi Oliver!

Glad you found us! I use to be stage 3A, until February or this year when the sucker spread! I felt like you! I have at least 10-20 more years before I have any problems (I was 36 at dx and will turn 38 this month).

I did the whole surgery, radiation, chemo thing (taxol/carbo), then got a three month break and the cancer returned.....hopefully we will get it under control this time!

Keep coming back, this is the best place for support!

  7. Way to go Charlie! Git Er Done! I get stuck again Wednesday!

Finally got a copy of the pathology report. The nodules in my left lung have had no remarkable change, the right lung.....some have disappeared and others have shrunk! Whould have gone to medical school so I could understand all these big words! :D

Glad you are doing good! Praying for an uneveryful Wednesday for me!

  8. This is a support group not a bash group! Let's look at all the non-smokers who have LC! If we look at it that because you smoke you deserve it, then what about the non-smokers. We could say they must have done something wrong to deserve it according to the person who is not named.

I look at it this way, NO ONE DESERVES this disease! Smoker or Non-smoker!

You handled that very nicely, nicer then I think I could have!

  9. If it takes years and years for the tumor to grow to just 3mm (or whatever), then why after only 3 months can additional tumors be found? And the cancer is back.

I don't understand how it can take so long for the initial tumor to grow then after just a few months the cancer "has spread" and there are additional tumors?! Were they there all along only they couldn't be detected? Then how did they grow so fast after only 3mths.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
