My mother died on July 4 when I was 26 - it took a few years not to feel guilty enjoying the 4th of July fun and fireworks. I realise she'd NEVER have wanted me to feel sad on a day that I always loved. This is maybe one of the hardest, strangest times of your life. Let everyone help you through it.
