Trish
My mom said someone told her if she decides to call Hospice that she has to sign something saying she will not see her doctor or do anymore kinds of treatments. My understanding was that she could still have radiation because it was pallative. I have the hospice number and have read several member stories but I was hoping someone here could clear this up for me. Thanks, Trish
hollyanne
Trish - My mom was able to continue radiation while on hospice - as she was not seeking a "cure" and the doctor gave her less than 12 months... Thoughts are with you, Holly
Fay A.
If you go this route you need to be very careful in deciding which Hospice group you choose. Not all operate in the same ways. Do your homework. Ask for references, ask others in your community about their experiences with various Hospice groups in your area.
jdjenkins
My Dad was able to continue to see his doctor while in hospice. They did not do blood work or any more scans though. I hope you find one that works for you. Denise
