tammy_ Posted February 7, 2006 Share Posted February 7, 2006 Hello, From what I've read in other profiles it seems that most people get quite a few radiation treatments. We went to the cancer clinic today and they said that we'd only get one of 800 rads. Dad's really tired and unable to eat. I sure hope that the radiation is wiping out the cancer cells. hollyanne Posted February 7, 2006 Share Posted February 7, 2006 Tammy - The increased fractions are possible when the tumors being radiated are not too near a vital organ which can be damaged by the increased strength --- we did this for my mom's hip and it helped significantly....although it was still a week or so before she noticed improvement.
